I cant remove seat

I have just bought a swivel base for the passenger seat.
So I need to get the existing seat off its runners.

I have searched the forums, looked in the Haynes book and pushed, pulled the seat in both directions and I cant see how to slide it off the runners.
There are no catches around the hinges and no obvious catches anywhere else on the runners.
I have attached a photo of the seat.

Its a 1983 T25 2L Air cooled if that makes any difference
Can any one help

Its not an original seat ?
I think you will have to unbolt the runners complete with the seat to remove it.

Yes both seats slide back and forward as you would expect.

Some T25 seat swivels come with the lower 1/2 of the runners already welded to them.
You have to remove the original runners from the van (spot welded on) and bolt or weld the swivel on. The seat slots onto the runners on the swivel. This design stops the seat from getting too high.
So .... if this is what you have the answer is "not realy" , although anything is possible.
