Now that is a bit a kit !
I quite fancy this setup on a Doka Syncro. That would be an awesome overland vehicle IMHO. Forward facing seats and proper seat belts for the kids.
Plus its demountable so could use the doka in the woods too.
Mmmmmmm dream on....

Cheers

I am kind of with you Rich, but overland travel means leaving the UK. I have probably driven in 50 countries or more worldwide, and that wouldn't be up for a real overland trip on the roads I have driven and been part of. I can see the attraction of it for European camping though.

I think I have been in that conversion a few years ago. If I had the AFN in the Doka I might give it a bit of consideration especially with the rear spring bags etc...

The tischer backs turn up on German ebay now and again. If you already have a Syncro crewcab then it's the way to go.

Thats pretty cheap ! Its for a "car" varient pickup truck from what i can make out, but yup same idea.
There seems to be loads of them in the states. I am sure we will see more of them over here with the popularity of pickup trucks ATM.

So Jed -do you think the thing would rattle to pieces ? My concern would be smacking it into a tree or lowbranch.
I like the Doka format, looks like a very usable vehicle from a family point of view.
