Jobs to do (when the tanks out)?

I've got a couple of jobs to do on the syncro that require (probably) the tank coming out. Firstly, I have a Devon R&R 3/4 bed to go in so I'm going to need some angle brackets welded in place.
Secondly, I'm going to have to move the seatbelts to work with a 3/4 bed size. I'm hoping this might actually be avoidable.
Are there any other jobs worth doing whilst the tank's out?

:ok

You may want to think about fitting captivated mounting plates for seats and belts in case you ever need them.

Whats a captivated mount?

Is there any chance that a hand could fit between the tank? The previous owner had the tank out a year ago and refurbed the straps etc so I'd like to avoid removal if possible.
I read a post where someone managed to poke the nuts into position with fence wire. Sounds painful :rollin

the factory window busses have the seatbelts mounted in the floors above the tank. if you havent got these then whilst having the tank out is an ideal time to fit some. you can buy the plates cheap enough and just weld them in. if the tank has been out reacently, have you got photos of what was done. if not i`d pull it out. really its a do once job. new fuel lines and sort all rust issues. new straps and fit and forget.

think its worth it long term. :ok

Caravelle seatbelt mounts top right:

Check the brake lines running across the bottom of the firewall/over gearbox; you don't want to replace them with it all back in, given the choice!
