Don't know if you can remember my old post about the leaky gearbox found https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=90303" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; its been in storage over the winter and now its play time! By the looks of things this leak has been unoticed for some time now because the underneath is caked in grot! Literally at one point I had to dig to find bolts. Uploading more images now to Photobucket......

Thanks. So do you agree that I need a new slave cylinder? It was in working order but it couldn't free the union to the pipe and had to cut it! That and the mounting bolts arnt in great shape need cutting off. Next weekend I plan to drain, scrub it clean and get it sent off to Aidan's to sort the leak and it crunching into 4th and 5th.

Is it supposed to be that colour inside the bell house? Anything else to worry about?

Thanks

Update - Just been e-mailing Aidan and his next available slot is June 7th! Had no idea he was so busy!

Would it be a good idea to put the gearbox back on so internals dont get rusty etc? Its in a dry building like....

No it'll be fine. Just use the time to remove driveshafts and clean and grease them. Get the gearbox clean too - Aidan won't want to work in all that grime.
