Hi, I would say that it is probably the upper wishbone bushes. I did mine last year . If you are doing the job yourself you will need a grinder to remove a small tack weld securing the bush outer to the wishbone and access to a press or as in my case a big vice can do it to get the new bushes back in. Also you will need access to a welding torch to put a small weld back on between the bush and wishbone arm. It is a resonably straight forward job if you have the grinder, vice and welding kit. if not it's impossible and garage job. Make sure that you have the tracking reset after and it needs to be somewhere that can adjust the camber ( Not all tracking station can do this , so check with them first). If you have a haynes manual it is all i there also on wiki under suspension section with photos good luck :ok

They can still squeak even after being replaced. Mine only gets upset if I negate a series of road humps - then shuts up until the next time I meet speed humps. :D

Liberal application of silicon spray.

Don't be tempted to use WD40 though, I'm sure as a mechanic you would know this anyway.

We (along with many others) had this same "issue", in our case no amount of spray (we tried a few, but NOT WD40) did any good. In the end we paid a local T25 experienced garage to replace all the top wishbone bushes on both sides (parts from Brickwerks) and afterwards were so pleased it stopped squeaking ! (it made the van feel so much nicer to drive once the squeaking was gone !) It has not come back after 2 years and a good few thousand miles (fingers crossed).
