Help - will this engine fit my van?

Hi all

Posted recently about needing a new engine for my van (thanks for the advice). Haven't yet commited to anything and an engine has come up on Ebay. It is described as:

VW 2.0L AIR COOLED ENGINE WITH CARBS ALTERNATOR & DIZZY ~ Type 4 Porsche 914 ~

I'm assumimg it will fit my 1982 2l but I'm a bit confused by the Type 4 Porsche 914 bit. Will this be okay to put into my 1982 2l?

I feel like I'm asking a pretty stupid question  but don't want to bid and then find out it isn't right!

The regular T25 2.0 ltr aircold is a CU engine prefix code, ask for the engine number.

if its out of a 914 it will need the flywheel changing and it will be injection not carbs if its a 1.7 dont bother it will be w engine code, if its a 2.0 gb code its worth big money as it has the best heads on any type 4 motor

the only 914 motor on carbs is the 1800cc motor send me the ebay no and i will have a look the latest the 914 motor was made is 1976 so its 7 years older than a late cu engine what was made to 1983

if the engine on ebay is being sold by alansangrymob it is definately a 2.0 cu engine out of a t25 and it will fit straight into your van , as i can tell due to the carbs, heat exchangers , fan on the end of alternator , and tinwear ,
