brake light switch remove and fitting

hi
does anybody no the easiest way of removing the brake light switch from my master cylinder??
do you have to drain the fluid before you start and will the brakes need bleeding once the
new switch is fitted????........ mike

nah if your quick you don't need to bleed.
unscrew finger over the hole..and quickly screw in the new one

As the switch sits on the master cylinder 'before' the outlet pipes, any air will find it's way up into the resevoir and not into the pipes, hence no need to bleed.
However, I would say be as quick as you can so you only loose a couple of drops of fluid (2 seconds..one out one in) don't over tighten as the switch has a fine thread.

i know this is an oldish thread but i have this issue. what i am unclear about is how do you get to the switch, do you need to remove part or all of dash
