I believe the french authority's will pursue you through the british courts.

I've had a ticket sent to me from Spain once.
They sent a few reminders, I binned the lot. Never heard any more about it.
Dunno about France though.

.dont know if recently things havre changed... i have been "flashed" loads of times....even a French cop sitting in a civi car with speed cam got me...seen em hiding in hedge rows with their speed cams...but i have never received anything....as i say..they may have changed things ??..so best not to speed,nmind you i didnt do it on purpose....its just that the max speed signs are so hard to see...wen ur driving fast. :(
