Hi guys. I have read all the old stuff and i have seen the digital volt meter. Any one know where you can get them from? I have a 1980 air cooled that has no rev counter. Can these be bought and fitted from new or is used better. Do later models fit straight in I dont want to do loads of messing at the mo?

I tend to think a rev counter, whilst nice to have an extra dial, as a bit optimistic since the engine will only do what it does. However, if you're determined, fit a separate aftermarket one. One to fit the right hand clock is often over-priced and by the time you've sourced the right pcb membrane, you might just as well fit a standalone one.

Got a volt meter from China via e bay £3:00 just got to wait now. Dont think I will bother with rev counter. Need to get temp guage working now. I havn't got a clue how this was done in the first place. It has one of those electrical dip stick things which of cause is broken off at the top!!
