Exhaust silencer studs?

My engine was dropped out last week and put on a pallet to wing it's way to the legendary Laurie Pettit for a rebuild, only thing is to make it fit the pallet I had to take the silencer off and a couple of the studs sheared off.

I was considering buying a new one anyway as there's a little dent in the existing one, but before I needlessly spend even more cash I haven't got I wanted to ask around on here about just re-studding the existing one.

Is it difficult to do and where can you get the studs? Had a squizz through wiki but can't find anything relevant.

It's a 2.0 CU Aircooled 1981, I'm pretty sure it's a bluebird custom ss silencer

Cheers!

Just buy bolts and cut the heads off. Providing you have a nut on the bolt, you can wind it off to make sure threads are clean on cut end.

Well, you can buy studding but if you think about it, you'd have to cut that too. :D

I bought some stainless studs from ebay, can be wound in with an allen key. If I recall, they weren't very expensive.
