Can anyone tell me if this is a modified full bulkhead or a north American option. I haven't seen one on a euro syncro.

That's a factory fitted bulkhead, It's exactly the same as the one fitted to my panel van. It's effectively a full height walk-through bulkhead, the best of both worlds in some ways, i.e. extra rigidity and security (I've fitted a curtain to close the gap when needed), but you can still get between the cab and the back easily (relatively - it's quite narrow!).
