Replacing seats

Hello all,

The front seats in my van are feeling a little elderly, and trips from London to Devon require a butt-massage on arrival

Does anyone know a good firm to get complete seats from? JK doesnt seem to do seats.

And any tips? Do I replace the seats including runners? And is the base a standard size, or not?

And how easy/expensive is it to get and fit swivelable seats? is it a DIY job?

Any help will be much appreciated by me and my equally sore passenger!

cheers,
matt

The standard seats are a bit uncomfortable. You can get quite a few other seats to fit. Saab are popular and comfy. I had some porsche tombstone seats re -upholstered (by me and me mum) and fitted - they are dead comfy and look cool as

If you want a swivel base this is separate from the actuall seats so you can fit one to you existing passerger seat anyway--easiest way to get more comfy seats is to get some from a high spec T25 ie Caravelle-if you use seats from another car you will have to weld on your existing runners-

I fitted a pair of Rover Half leather Seats (loosely based on recaro) about 18 months ago. Any of the 93 - 97 SLi 200/400 series should do you. Mine came out of a 96 200SLi. Mot Failiure. Cost me £25 squid the pair

Need to do a bit of bending and drilling, but for comfort...VERY well worth it:-)
