Water on the inside

I noticed during the rain on Saturday that we have water coming in through the middle bit of the dash dripping down onto the gear stick. Is this normal or do we have a problem?

lol first weekend camping in mine and had a little puddle in drivers side think it came from front quarter ligth so will try and mend that first

Most likely windscreen surround seal, IMHO, perhaps rusting of the lip of the front panel where the seal sits.

lol yep did spot a few little holes when i had new creen fitted last week

Generally they do look great but underneath they can rot away completely. Often you'll see tell-tale signs along the top of your dash at the back where the screws are. Any corrosion there is a sure sign of worse things beneath. You can in theory (ChickenKoop seems confident anyway) replace the upper (kinda bonnet) panel that the lower edge of windscreen seal is fitted to without taking the windscreen out. That said, that panel is £80 - plus costs of welding it in.
The Bay campers also suffered this problem (splits too I guess) - which makes me wonder why VW didn't sort that weakness. Mind you, the lump behind the bumper is ALSO a water trap - even a slight slope on that would have helped at the design stage. In reality of course, this area of your T25 is literally the leading edge so likely to sustain such damage over time.
When I do get around to replacing this panel I'll look at ways of really sealing the bottom edge to prevent water ingress.

We've got dodgy seals, and a fair bit of rust too. Two years ago, when we got the camper it would regularly fill with water in both footwells. Fusebox was always wet too. (It didn't work too well!)
Anyway, I know I'm supposed to fix things properly but I just squirted rubber compound between the seal and the body all along the front edge and up the sides a bit. got some on the windscreen too which has now gone a nasty brown colour... However, the van is always dry now, so the water has found somewhere else to go! Worth a try before you rip out seals and panels?

you could do an ebay search for creeping crack and try that
