Any idea where these are on a Diesel and where can I get one from, Brickwerks don't list one and GSF's website is impossible to navigate?

2 or 3 pin (check first)......reach to the back of the speedo binnacle housing and pull upwards, this housing pivets below the front glass...just do it it's easy. Remove the splash gauge (plastic cover) the brake light switch is behind the binnacle.
Remove 4 screws/speedo cable/plugs & binnacle if needed to gain access.

The switch is screwed into the brake master cylinder and is operated by hydraulic pressure. It can be changed without bleeding (one out one in) you can do this in 2 seconds without loosing more than a few drops of fluid. Don't over tighten (this is a fine thread)..re-connect the plug and check. These do go faulty so quids in that it's cured after replacement.

Ok switch replaced but still the brake lights are coming on late, any thing else it might be? Please obviously.

Any idea what the switch the other end of the master cylinder is for?

My fault as I should have pointed out the possibility of two switches....I am not entirely sure why (at least I'm being honest)
You say the brake lights are coming on late...what exactly do you mean...just that this type work on 'pressure' not brake pedal travel so the brake lights only come one when there is slight pressure in the master cylinder to overcome the switch (light braking effort).
Obviously if they are taking any more than the lightest of braking effort to turn on.....

Cheers Martin, they only appear to be going on when the pedal is fully down, however I haven't tried it with engine running.
