Adding a leisure battery

Hi all hope someone can help the vans got a relay but all it does is run the fridge when driving how do I add a leisure battery to the circut . Cheers

The way your existing relay is working IS the same as used to charge a leisure battery (you may be able to take a feed from it to trigger this relay as well)

Find somewhere to secure and vent a leisure battery, buy a suitable split charging kit....something like this but add a couple fuse holders:

Follow the supplied diagram which will look something like this:

Thanks Martin the wire that comes from the alternator to the fridge relay do I just split it to the leisure relay cheers. Mac

Yes mate....as your fridge relay must already have this feed (only operates the fridge when the engine is running) it makes sense to find this 'switch' feed and spur off it for your split charge relay (the relays themselves take very little power to 'switch') so you won't be overloading that wire.
