Reading oil level

Ive got a diesel turbo and for the first time im checking the oil level, can i take it that the two dots on the dipstick is min and max ? :oops:

no idea mine has a wee groove at minimum and maximum ...plus I do not run on diesel ....so infact one could say I am in fact pretty much useless :D

I think you've answered your own question

If you are attempting such challenging maintainance work may I suggest you get a haynes manual.
It will come in useful for when you have to act on the information the dipstick gives you.....

Kev the haynes doesnt cover the TD :roll:

Cheers for the information i take it that i was right , next week im going to attempt to check the water level, if any problems encountered watch this space :D
