Fuel Computer to Show Range?

I used to have a fuel computer in my old car, and loved it, it also displayed outside temperatures. I was wondering if anyone has retro fitted one to their T25? I'm interested in adding one myself if its doable.
I do have access to an old Cavalier GSi2000 one, which also comes with looms, and pin outs, so could make my own loom etc.
Just interested in your thoughts on this?

I would love one of those too. Is it possible though? Must have to work from ECU ?

Tom, a Scangauge II should work with your TDI via the diag port, and it does miles till empty if you set it up right.
I have one here I bought to use use with my Scooby, but found it didn't work (for some reason Subaru saw fit not to make the UK market Legacy's fully OBDII compliant until a year after mine..) It's been sitting around unused for 3 years, now I'm fitting an AFN, I think I'll play with it a bit while I'm still on the std. T3 cluster. Once I've upgraded to the Passat cluster with MFA, I'll probably sell the Scangauge. Someone else has first dibs, but if they don't want it you can have it. If you want one now they're around £120.
