Tacho options for a AAZ

Hiya,

no tacho on Myrtle so no idea what revs it is pulling.

What are my options, realise I could probs do a head unit conversion to a T25 binnacle with tacho but guessing they are like hens teeth.

What about aftermarket?

And what do you use to drive the tacho signal?

Thanks,

MM

Hello,

you use the "W" pin on the alternator to drive the tacho - this sends a pulse out much like a coil on a petrol. Aftermarket tachos generally have a calibration screw on them so you can get it to where you want it - make sure you select the correct number of cylinders though! I used one of these which has proven to be absolutely fine:
