Well that's it then...

After a lot of soul-searching, thinking out loud and generally faffing around it looks like I'll have to let the syncro go.
It hasn't been all that I'd hoped if I'm completely honest, but with two other 2wd buses to finish - including a couple of saucy engine builds
- something has got to go to free up the finances and my time. I've given the off-roading a bit of a go, learnt a lot and had some fun, the kids loved it too but they don't have to pay the bills!
I think that maybe Trials and RTV events might be the thing for me after Vanfest this year, but I'm not sure I can commit the time and the effort to building a specific vehicle for just that. If I could then I'd build a 2.1 engine for the syncro (in less of a panic than last time) swap the diff ratios for some 6.16's etc etc but it's all just a distraction that I can do without. Can't do everything but do need to get some things finished!
I'll get a classified up in a bit, photos to follow but you can always check out the "Our syncro Caravelle" thread for what's been done to the old thing if you're in the market for a reliable Caravelle that is happy to do 300 miles a week without complaint.
It's nothing personal to the syncronauts, you are a lovely bunch of nutters who all need your heads looking at quite frankly...I love you all
