hi,my interior light above the drivers door has stopped working,bit of a nuisance as there is no light when i open the door,is it pretty straightforward to change for a novice?i intend to buy a new un,its a 1992 multivan by the way,cheers for any help in advance.

Possibly just the bulb that needs replacing.

poor connection or poor earth.

just prise the unit out carefully with a flat blade screwdriver

or the switch on the door is faulty.
use a multimeter to determine where the fault lies

There are also LED equivalents now which have a longer life span although a more bluish rather than yellow light. Same size bulb and shape but LEDs inside instead.
