Propex Heater info please.

We are going away to the Lakes week after next in our van. We have decided to get the propex heater fitted next week ready for our adventure.
The propex fitter is coming this afternoon to check and arrange fitting. Just wondering if people who had them could share some information as I have never used one before.
How long would I expect to get out of the gas before filling? Would you recommend butane or propane? Any other things I need to know? Would be better asking for.
We do want LPG later so will need to leave room for that.
Thanks again - one day I hope to share knowledge instead of taking it!!

With it running on low all night and some big long blasts during the day 20l of gas will last about 4 days. Thats using the cooker and fridge too so remember when your out of gas you wont be able to cook unless you carry more bottles with you.
What size gas bottle do you have?

Thanks guys. It is going to go on the floor of the cupboard between fridge and drivers seat. I will put a new shelf ontop so the cupboard is still useful. It runs on campingaz 907 bottles currently but am looking to get a bigger bottle installed somewhere as they will not last very long at all.

ditch the butane ASAP it will freeze at 0 deg C and the heater stops working
Propane remains liquid way below that

No
Different regulators for each

you'll need a propane regulator
37 millibar.
and this is for butane or "camping gaz " at
28 millibar
once the regulator is changed the equipment will work OK
