84 was the crossover year.So i would expect yours to have the later calipers.

I thought '86 model year was crossover, Rob, meaning from August '85 onwards?

if they look identical they will fit!
of the early and late there are 2 types(manufacturer) of each .
fit the same make each side.
late and early will not swap as the hubs are different , bolts fit differently
either you will have single(late) or twin piston(early) calipers , the pads are completly different early/late too.

thats cos your in the change over!
doors , suspension , cooling, wiring , brakes plus lots more were upgraded around this time.
85/86 vans can be a nightmare
87 d reg onwards are the better ones

The simple answer is YES....these will fit! make sure you fit both sides and use either the original pads fitted in the same positions or new.
