Just serviced my camper and found this....

I did a full service on my T25 this morning, and after taking off the air filter housing etc, directly underneath it I found this lead. It is a little crushed and looks like it has not been used for quite a while.
I have had no luck establishing what it is for, mainly because I dont know what it is called.
Can anyone shed any light, it is a three pin connector that leads into the engine somewhere.

It looks like the top dead center lead, used by people with posh gear to tune/time the engine. Frequently cut off on many engines.

Yes indeed....usually attached with a bracket to the rear of the alternator (one of the 5mm alternator casing bolts...8mm spanner size)
Normally they have a small plastic blanking grommet to stop dirt entering the plug.

Well that has solved that mystery. Do any of you guys know if it is something that is still able to be used? or is it something that is pretty redundant now.
