Hi folks,

I'm looking for some first-hand advice on places that do custom interiors.

Have you had one done? How was the finish? Any regrets?

A walk in, walk out service would be great. So far, I like the look of the camper shak, http://www.thecampershak.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

After taking a visit, he is happy to do mine.

So, has anyone had one done? Can you recommend anyone? Are there any well known places that are known for a very good finish?

I'm not looking for any windows or pop top roofs, just the interior aspect.

Can't go wrong with campershack Mike. They're members on here and turn out excellent work.

Ah, two different campershack/shak's are out there - one in Grantham (Andrew & Anna ) and another one (don't know much about them.

The campershack in Lancashire looks really good, the gallery has some nice finnished vans in it, I'm going to drop them a mail, they have some bright orange wood that might look pretty cool

I'm also really tempted by northwestcampervanconversions.co.uk they usually do T4's/T5's but it's very local and his finnish in the T5 looks very good. He will also work around existing kit I have, keeping the cost down. He is also only 20mins away, which might be good if anything breaks or I need replacement parts.

Convertyourvan.co.uk is something I have seen before, it looks pretty decent, thanks.

There seems to be fine line between custom and practical. I love the fact I can walk in and out of the back in my 2wd. My syncro has a bench see so I was thinking about a curved corner unit, offering plenty of storage, but then I might miss the ability to jump in the back when it's raining or really muddy ARGH decisions

Ah sorry Mike. I was talking about the one in Grantham. Have you tried Quagmire on here. He does some cracking work. I've seen it first hand

I have no idea how you got lost in the land of Google Yes, we are still doing it (even at our age ) and we have nothing to do with those who make bespoke interiors up in Ormskirk, different service altogether I'm having a Quagmire in mine...when it is welded and sprayed

I had my split screen refitted this time last year by the guys in lancashire, http://www.thecampershak.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. they did a cracking job. It was a long drive up there from Portsmouth though, but well worth it in the end! To be honest i didnt even realise there was another camper shack?.. lol

Any way like i say good guys up there,

There are a few 'Campershacks' out there, but Andy is well known on here for what he does.

So many interiors to choose from, it's a big market. That's why it's good to talk on here, get a few ideas from those who have had them done.

Hi well i had a ride over to the camper shak realy nice friendly people , and a few more calypso campers, gt campers , and vwcamperinteriors by lightfootcampers and son, i looked at all products
camper shack uses chipboard didn't no that so it put me right away gt campers nice vans but did t5 and vwcamperinteriors by lightfoot and son was a small company although is interiors were spot on what put me of was he couldnt fit me in untill end of sep he only did one per month ..we ended up going right down to calpso ive looked at all the products ,, and most use the light weight board my van is a small 1.6 so thought it would be best to put in vohinger board
