Well after a couple of years of pestering I managed to finally get this.

It belonged to a guy in the next road to me who'd had it for 15 years. He'd had it off the road for the last year but it started straight up and I drove it home.

I believe it's one of the 'golden 6' last Caravelle GL's in the known universe so I'll be wrapping it in cotton wool, cuddling it to sleep at night and putting it on ebay for 20 grand...

...or cut a big hole in the roof and paint it orange, not decided yet.

Ok, whats going on? Is this the infamous £10k only C Reg in the UK T25 RHD Syncro?

Whats the story with 6 GL Caravelles that keeps coming up??, must be loads more than that RHD.

Yes different one, this is D-reg and looks very similar spec to the ebay one other than my seats have the adjustable armrests and it's a 2.1 with 2 diff locks.

...so not that similar really.

Is this the one that sold on eBay late Nov 2011 in W. Sussex? If so, had my eye on that and been kicking myself ever since at missing out on it. Ho hum! Oops just checked the old eBay ad and hat one was an E reg, exactly same colour though. I'll just keep looking.

Yep, took the GL badge off mine as I was bored with it.

Apparently C is the new GL.
