Hi everyone, wonder if anyone can give me some advice, i have just got back from a weekend away in my camper to find that one of the fuel pipes has snapped i was wondering why i was putting a lot of fuel in her. Can you advise me on what to do, is it a simple enough job to do and if so can you buy parts.

Regards Paul

Right you need to be a little more specific. as there are lots of pipes..
where exactly has it split?

The fuel lines rot and split, the most common ones being the breather pipes to the two expansion tanks under each of the front wheel arches.
Trouble is the fuel tanks also rot on top so the first thing you need to do is find out where the fuel is coming from. Hopefully this is just hose replacement and not the fuel tank as well.

Hi Martin
i am not that clued up on engines but it is one of the 4 pipes that feed fuel to top of engine. one of them has snapped and fuel leaking everywere when engine is running. do these pipes come as a set of 4 or can you buy one. And are they difficult to change.

Regards Paul

Then please have it towed to a garage ASAP Paul, that's a bomb waiting to go off.
They will be able to change your fuel lines, and make the van safe to drive.

Is it a diesel & the pipe is one that goes to an injector?

Diesel isn't as flammable as Petrol so don't panic just yet...
It's obvious as this thread developes that we could have done with a great deal more information in your first post...saves this bat and ball tooing and froing.

A picture at this point would speak a thousand words, this could be very simple as in the fuel return hoses between the injectors (5 minute job) or alternately a more expensive fractured metal injector pipe.

As I say a picture would be good.
