Syncronaut Programme 2012

The Committee are working on the 2012 programme, so far outlined as:-

Spring
30th,31st March, Sunday 1st April - By default, subject to a better idea, this will be in the centre of the country and thus likely to be Coney Farm. Often this event is principally a chance to meet up again, swap parts, and a bit of shake-down of newly owned or of your winter repairs or mods.
We know it, can be challenging in places, especially if wet. You never know, it might even snow as an April Fools joke...

July
SP 2012, Wales will be 29/30 June, 1/2 July. Hopefully a significant French contingent will be coming too. Maybe some surprise visitors too...

Then onto Snowdonia for the mountain tracks there with the French, two days minimum, switching routes between groups.

CamperJam the week after 6,7,8 which was a "nice" chill relaxing but convivial event last year (mostly  ) That's at Weston Park, Telford Shropshire http://www.camperjam.com/location

August
In the South Devon will be 1st w/e in Aug (3,4,5,6) although as usual peeps will be in attendance from the Tuesday before to at least the Tuesday after... at the 'secret' but lovely campsite, somehwree nr. Cullompton :)

A Scottish meet has been mooted! Alistair and others across the border are thinking that there should be a meet for those for whom Devon is a bridge and a mile too far. So August might be their choice.

==============

Anybody planning local SN avents - please let us all know in good time :ok

Other events might pop up, but that's the main programme.

Is there going to be a Syncro display again at Camperjam and an allocated area for camping?

I expect there will be a Syncro area, possibly a display so the French can show their vans and wares...

Spring April event won't be Coney Green Farm, it's booked apart from the Easter weekend.

Possibly Shipston

Yes Simon, it was... Wagtail sometimes called, Shipston on Stour, a very pretty lickle village too

and perhaps we need to have a quick hands up for how many would come to a Spring (sometime in April) event there? and which weekend would best suit (asking for trouble with that one  )

Anyway, say here, if interested in principal for an early heads up meeting, parts swap and drive over their bridge and clonk/clunk/clank on their see-saw :| Probably organise a trial I should think too, just about :idea

What's wrong with Easter weekend ? Is it more £ ?
makes sense to have an event over a four day weekend to my mind, unless everyone else goes to church for 4 days and I'm just an unwashed heathen

Tom - the organizers have allocated us Syncro camping for Camperjam as it's available as an option when booking tickets.

OK, we've had a heads up in the Syncro Committee forum

How about the middle of the month, the week after Easter, the 14th/15h April ?

Shipston I think, Simon, for this one... pretty central and most peeps thought it was a fair dinkum place to get to, a pretty part of the country and had some interesting areas to drive (some if you remember were far too wet for our Syncros last time, flooded in fact)

If you like the idea of 14/15th April, as we have to set a date sometime and draw a line in the sand, let us know if you can come hat weekend... and we'll pray for some fine weather, more likely then than a fortnight earlier I suppose...
