Morning,
Does anyone have the Zig spec sheet/ circuit diagram for the MC2000?
I have one in my 1990 Autosleeper and would like to know what runs off what e.g. Does the 240V run the interior light etc when plugged-in etc etc
Anyone got one in their bus?
Cheers
Adey

Hmmm, interesting. Zig MC2000 and Autosleeper have cropped up before and (in my opinion) we're none the wiser on the Zig unit. Click> https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60741" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

However, I think I remember seeing this Zig (CF2000) fitted in late Autosleeper Tridents - does yours look like this?

If it doesn't you're going to have to put a picture up cos I can't find ANY images for the MC2000 although there are plentiful verbal references to it's existence.

if I remember rightly, the MC200 is just a distribution unit rather than a charger - They used to put them in old Talbot campers years back.

There's lots of Zig manuals on HERE but no metion of MC2000.... I don't even recall if it was a Zig unit to be honest. Sorry not much help really

Like a CP400? Small rectangular jobbie with red and green LEDs, 4 switches and 3 fuses?

Think a picture would really help here.............

Good plan! Let's have a picture (and we'll stand more chance of not sending you on a wild goose chase) :D

Just found this one whilst having my lunch. Is it one of these?

They were coupled to a separate mains charger but I can't remember which model (or where they hid it)

Looks like the one Bren posted but with some bits missing off the left hand side...

Yep, that's the one Andisnewsyncro.

Fuses are behind a removeable panel on the LHS

Googling it doesn't bring up much either.

Time to email Zig I reckon. Unless anyone else recognises it. Am I right that you have a separate charger somewhere? It will probably make a bit more sense when we have the whole spec but..... I do like a challenge :D

Just by looking at the picture it doesn't look like it's connected to the 240v mains. There's no mains fuse (unless it's behind the fuses cover with the 12v ones) and Zig tended to fit an illuminated mains switch too which is also lacking - like the wide orange switch on the RHS of the CF2000 picture I posted up. The right hand side of the unit is basically a built in water tank level meter which Zig also do as a separate item (I have one next to my Zig CF6 unit). To the left of that is a 12v socket outlet, to the left of that are two switches (don't look mains rated so 12v), to the left of them are what look like two battery condition LEDs. I don't know what the farthest left LED is for - I can't make out the writing.
Does anything illuminate only when you hook up? If you put you ear up to the unit when you're hooked up can you hear a 'buzzing' and does the unit get warm at all?

a more detailed picture would help :rofl Have you a camera?

I think the 1st LEd on the left says Fridge 12v, the next 2 are indeed battery _Normal & Low. As for the rest I can't make it out either, it's a very old pic from my collection of random handy photos................

Scottbott has kindly sent me a printed version of the circuit diag.
I'll ask if he doesn't mind me scanning it and adding to the Wiki.
I'll post when I get the diag.
Cheers for all your inputs!

Please excuse resurrecting an old thread, but it saves me starting from scratch. I too have an MC2000 in a 1990 Autosleeper. I looked in the WIKI to see if circuit diagram had been added as per last post, but didn’t find it. If one is still available, please could somebody let me know how I can get hold of a copy? TIA, Brian

Hi Brian,

I have put the Autosleeper Wiring Diagram using Zig MC-2000 Control Panel / Zig DCU-3 Battery Charger here:

http://www.autosleeper.vwt25camper.info ... 2000WM.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am looking for a copy of the instruction / user manual for the same mc 2000 zig unit if anyone has a copy ?

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
thanks for that, interesting. Gives me a good idea of how to add a leisure battery without doing a lot of belling out. Manual would be interesting as well, I'm curious what the leds are supposed to do. Thanks again, Brian
