Hi all
Just been offered cheap set of BRMs 15" x 5.5J ET6
Any good on an 83 Aircooled T25?
What bolts/studs do you use & any tyre recommendations?
Tried them against hubs & no clearance issues with that ET
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks

That's a very low offset. I would have thought that sticking that far out could cause you a few problems with strain on bearings and joints in the future. I also doubt if they are weight rated for a van to be honest.

Cheers
They came off a split bus running late bay hubs /pattern & a Porsche engine / box setup
The guy is pretty fussy about specs & bought them new, but all the chrome is rough,so was going to bead blast & polish them
I am fitting new bearings ,and bus isn't lowered any ( yet)

Kev's right....

As I said ET is far too low. PCD has been the same on Transporters for years but there are companies selling wheels that they describe as good for these vans that really should be on a board & served with crackers !

That ET is far too low for either a splitty or a bay, compared with factory specs too, so I wouldn't believe that the previous owner was that fussed about things being right.

There's been massive amounts of money spent by factories on developing these vans, so why do some people think they have a better idea? And don't get me started on weight ratings.............

:ok
