RTL7 covers the "Dakar" quite well.. Lots of Dutch teams in it...

Must cost a packet now.. (not that it was cheap before..) shipping the vehicles half way accross the world.....

i liked the time a french vespa team entered and they all finished.

Watching again tonight.. wish I hadnt...

Some pretty amature driving going on.. causing damage to there own and others vehicles when it could have been totaly avoided by waiting 10 seconds...

Ie daf following a Unimog up and over a dune, in the same tracks,catching up, so was only 5m behind on the drop down.. only for the unimog to get stuck and the daf driver could only steer left to attempt to pass, sliding into the side of the unimog, bent his rim and ripped the tyre pressure hose off.. if he had stopped at the top of the dune (or at least eased right off.. he could have seen just what was going on and aimed for a wider berth...

trying to sideslope in the dunes... in the dark... and turning it over... rather than reversing back down...

On another truck, trying to knock a dinged rim back so it would hold air, with a tyre iron.. you mean you spent all that money on the truck and getting there and didnt think to carry a reasonable sized lump hammer?? (a sledgie and a large drift would have been better mind..)

Several of them seem to have a lot more money that skill...
