Anyone point me in the right direction, as to where I can get full serivce kit for my ole bus !

I buy my service spares from GSF or Brickwerks ... it would help of course if we knew which engine you have ....

Errrrrr............... can't you give people some idea as to what you are talking about?

I know what you mean and I asked a similar question not long after I first joined the forum.

When I had my beetle I could but a service kit which included plugs, points, lead, oil filter etc.

I never managed to find a full service kit for the T25 and had to buy all the bits separately.

Bit tricky because of the variety involved in these things and that after 20-30 years they become mongrels with bits borrowed and squeezed in. Spark plugs, air filters, oil, leads, belts and the rest can be determined by type and age of engine but after having my van just over a year and I'm only just starting to learn its little quirks. The first time I replaced the belt I drove to GSF squealing all the way(not me, the van) took it off in the car park and asked the bloke at the desk for a new one.

Basic Service Kit...no extras:
Service kit Petrol: Oil filter/Air Filter/Petrol Filter/Sump Bung Washer/Spark Plugs/Screen Wash/Oil 15W40 Mineral/Wiper Blades

Service Kit Diesel: Oil Filter/Air Filter/Diesel Filter/Sump Bung Washer/Cam Cover Gasket Kit/Tappet Shims/Screen Wash/ Oil 10W40/or 15W40 Turbo Diesel oil/Wiper Blades.

EXTRAS you might need: Transmission oil (manual or Auto) change if it's never been done/ Timing Belt Kit / Brake Pads / Brake Discs / Brake Shoes / Wheel Cylinders / Drive Belts / Bulbs / Tyres / Exhaust / Antifreeze (2 years) / Brake Fluid (2 years) / HT Leads / Rotor Arm & Cap.

And of course parts to repair any faults you may find on the way ie: steering joints/Suspension components/brake pipes/fuel tank/headlamps/lenses/horn/flex pipes/hoses/switches/fuses/Engine Mounts/Battery/Water Pump/ CV Boots / Steering Rack Gaitors etc.

If the van is new to you it may help to carry out the basic service first but write yourself a 'TO DO' list after you have carefully examined:
Steering
Suspension
Brakes
Lights
Tyres & Wheels
Fuel System
Cooling System
Ignition System
Engine
Gearbox & Clutch
Drive Line
Wipers & Washers
Interior
& finally...Body work.
