Returning to idle on T25

Hello All,
looking for some pointers with the idle on my T25.
Got a water cooler 1.9 petrol Caravelle from 1986.
Not used her over the winter but started her today. Wasnt too much of an issue, simple jump of my daily. drive.
Ran round the back when it seemed to be over revving.
Only thing i found wrong was that the vaccuam advance pipe had come off the dizzy so popped it back on.
Its idling crazy fast and if i rev her it doesnt slow back down then i stop ?
I thought perhaps it was a sticky throttle cable but it does the same if i rev it from the engine (push the cable holder forward)

Firstly where would i find the idle adjustment screw as cant find one on the cable mounting.
Secondly what would cause the engine to stick at increasingly higher and higher revs if the cable has returned to the idle position ?

thanks in advance
Nic

Don't adjust carb if it was fine before, thats a sure where to get in a mess. Could be choke sticking on?

the pierburg carb has a fast idle when first started, it will rev at 2000 rpm till the acc is blipped then drop to 1500 then 1200 and finaly 950.
the stepped fast idle cam is responsible for this during the engine warm up
give the cam return springs a squirt of WD it may just be a little seized

you can see them here

...and don't adjust the idle speed screw (long screw surrounded in white plastic)

and the stepped cam here on the right between the autochoke housing and the carb body
