Hello fellow T25ers!

I have bought the other half an after market Tim rev counter for Christmas and he is well chuffed!
However, it's a second hand one and we have no idea how to fit it! It has a red (postitive side of ignition coil?), black (earth?), green (negative side of ignition coil?) and a white (???!) wire from the back. Also a switch on the back (4,6,8 settings) which we think should be set to 4. The cable itself is aprox 20" long.

It's to go into our 1980 2l petrol Aircooled camper.

Do any of you guys have any more details or can you help us with instructions for fitting please? Apologies if I am repeating stuff you've seen before; I have searched the wiki but can't find anything so far.

hi yes thanks i found that one too

Green is - on coil
Red is + on coil
Orange is Lights
Black is Earth

BUt I have a WHITE cable, no orange! Also was hoping for a bit more detail, if anyone can post a wiring diagram please?

If you have the same number of wires, then you can pretty much assume that green is coil, red is feed and black is earth. White must be internal light by elimination. You could always try just wiring earth and white to a feed, see what happens.

Of course I'm taking no responsibility what so ever if it blows up and burns the van out. Sorry.
