Snow plough

Just wondering if VW ever offered a snow plough as an extra for the T25.

We've seen the old archieve shot of an orange single cab with a plough, which from memory wasn't even a syncro.
And those who have been round a few years will remember CJs fire tender single cab with the Ali back which originally had a plough, but was sold off the truck before it left Europe.

Just wondered if they're are any more out their, I'm interested in how VW designed, fitted and operated them, with a view to possibly building one for the syncro.

My local mechanic has one on his Syncro,

Probably not fitted from VW I'd say but rather some kind of aftermarket. Was fitted from new by it's first owner though.

Interesting, thanks guys.
Any shots of the underneath. the orange one apprears to mount straight to the beam behind the bumper. Would have expected it to have a bracing element a bit further back also, thats a fair weight to be hanging out there during transport.

This is just a curiosity just now which may turn into a pet project in time for next winter.

Me been wondering for a year or two too...

That front member would cantilever almost anything reasonable off it I'd say. Considered making someting rudimentary out of plywood :?:

these look like small agricultural ploughs adapted for vehicle, most farms with livestock have these either on fore end arms or just on three point at the rear

The local council had these fitted to Honda 680 quads last winter. You will have a large Farm Equipment supplier up there who would sell that sort of stuff so you could adapt it. The ones I looked at last year consisted of a fiberglass plough blade with a rubber tip and a steel frame with very basic hydraulics on it. They used them to clear the pavements

Not quite whats been posted before, but i couldnt help notice this single cab has two square receivers below the front bumper, presumably for a front mounted something.

this one looks nice and simple, it seems to be hinged onto the front bridge and lifted and lowered with the help of a winch
