Glow plug current

The truck is havng dificulty starting when cold (in the morning) and when it does it missfires momentarily with accompanying mini smoke cloud. Fairly sure a couple of plugs aren't glowing.
Anyone know what the current drain (Amps) of a new glow plug is so I can check which ones (s) are not working properly.
Many Thanks

Just be careful with your standard 20amp max meter. OK if you are connecting in series with just one glow plug connected otherwise ....puff!

Ex Royal Navy clamp meter!

Not too accurate under 10A though.
