I've beeen offered a 1990 Caravelle.
It has a 'new@ Vege engine after the cooling system dumped over the motorway.
The preasent owner says it is burning a bit of oil in one of the cylinders on long runs.
The price is good but I'd like ideas on Why its loosing oil? Am I going to end up with a melted lump?

I'm pretty sure it is a new engine.
I know the chap selling it and Dave O'shea a local independant VW specialist fitted it. He told me it might be up for sale.
I cant get to see it till next week. I'm thinking it might be a valve guide that needs to bed in.

Good idea to compression test. I'll do that.
