The two bolts that hold the exhaust to the engine have sheared off, My question is do I need to take the engine out to re drill the engine or if possible take the sheared bolts out. 1986 T25 petrol 1900cc DG any help appreciated.

It all depends on which bolts ? ... exhaust to head bolts or the under bracket to the crankcase ? If access is limited then yes, engine out is always best .... you may have to remove the whole exhaust anyway

Thanks Ian - I might have to take it to the mainland as I don't think any garage on the Island will look at it and I cant do it my self.

If its the ones facing you and exhaust is off, you can usually lower engine enough to get at them. However, being square on when getting them out is crucial.
