Is 190k miles on a camper that has had a reconditioned engine about 5 years ago too high? I'm looking to buy my first t25 and need some help and advice. The van I'm looking at is g reg 190 k and he wants about 4500 for it. Body work pretty good . All help and advice welcome. Si

bodywork is everything
try to avoid serios rust , lots of vans have seem rash , without knowledge tho this could be nothing or terminal
basically as far as engines/gearboxes are concerend if it runs well then its ok- try and do a 10mile minimum road test make sure you include a hill and hot start- check oil and water after
look for receipts for anywork done , no receipt then presume its NOT been done
make sure before starting you make sure oil and water lights work and watch them go out!
new engine- check for perfectly clear antifreeze and receipts for oil changes / antifreeze changes (3 years) if not then its not been looked after and mileage is erelevent .
ask the owner if it is happy cruising at 70mph on the motorway- if he says yes , no problem more if you want it to then he lies and has thrashed it
60 /65 max is it!
presumably ,and receipts to prove when the engine was fitted - clutch exhaust plugs water pump all new?
basically forget the mileage 300k is not a problem with good service history , 30k with no service history is just as bad!
