I have today had a quote of £250 for the 4 side windows and rear window. Is it better to take them out or leave them in when getting them done?

You could buy enough window tinting film to do 10 vans for the price you've been quoted. It's really easy to fit as well and there's plenty of video tutorials about showing how to do it.
