After having spent a fortune having my 1.6 Diesel engine repaired it was running great. But then on a run to the lakes the valve in the water bottle seized. Nothing went into the expansion vessel, the water pressurised and a hose burst. This sprayed water into the air intake, result a bent conrod. So now I am contemplating either cut my losses and scrap it or replace the engine. Does anyone have an AAZ engine if so how much?

Which valve and where is it in bottle.If you have non turbo engine then you will need new exhaust if you fit aaz engine and you may need turbo and manifold.

The valve in the black cap on the main water bottle, the hose that burst was old and a bit dodgy and if the air filter cover was on the other way round it wouldn't have sucked in the water.
