Pardon the ignorance has I do not own my T25 yet.

but a T25 engine is at the rear, correct?
so does the front grille actually serve any mechanical purpose of cooling the engine. or another purpose.

Is it viable to smooth it over and remove it completely.

Thanks

Well if you saw Hammond on Top Gear with his barge (damperwagon) you'll know how restricted openings at the front can impair cooling.....

The rad is located at the front - engine at rear.

OK, thanks, that exactly what I needed/wanted to know.

Was just thinking about smoothing over the grille and lights whacking on a splitty big vw badge and headlight transplant of some sort. mk2 golf angel eyes etc

Uh? Why buy a T25 if you want to disguise it? Well you could make a new headlamp grill and fit different lights I guess but it'll always look like a wedgie whatever you do...... :D The Aircooled vans could be filled in but if its a watercooled engine (and you can tell that cos there will be TWO grills at the front) then you can't really unless you provide alternative ways for the air to get in or run the fan continuously.

ChickenKoop and I saw a PINK wedgie in Cov yesterday. We stopped to look (hand painted) and they'd even painted the window rubbers! Ok, own up, whose is it????? It looks like a lump of Hubba Bubba sat there.
