Can anyone help me....?
my t25 didn't have a car stereo - so bought one and just got around to fitting it - only to find out the tray it sits in isn't long enough due to the heater control panel wires...
What have others done to get around this? is there such a thing as a tray extender? need about another 1-1.5 inch clearence at the back.
All advice welcome.
Cheers

there are plastic din spacers available. I have a 15mm one with a sony headunit and that's fine. Not sure if I'd like it sticking out by 25mm or more though. Also be carefull because if your gearstick has been bent by previous owner the radio will de-skin your knuckles

25mm spacers available too

fitted my stereo and managed to gently lift the heater cables up slightly so the stereo would slide all the way in and it fits flush, there is just enough 'play' in the heater cables to manage to lift above the head unit,on my one at least

It's not the heater cables that got in my way but the fresh air/blower unit behind the dash that the radio hits. I could have just about got it to fit with a 90 degree adaptor on the aerial scoket but it's better with a 15mm spacer

scottbot and Cruz,
re are 4 tension cables (remind me of bike gear cables) that run from the slider to the right of the stereo space which are too rigid. I think 15mm might just be enough so will get one ordered and see what happens (can always add another mm or 2 if needed).
will let you know how I get on. Cheers.

seems strange how I can fit a radio in flush with the dash and have enough movement in the heater cables to lift them slightly and others cant, are there differences behind the dash or are the heater cable fittings all the same?,also fitted a right angle arial adaptor as well
