Not Fireing after plug change

Hi, I need your wisdom!

I have just been doing a service on my 1.9 t25 transporter. engine was fine when i started and when I changed the oil everything went fine engine turned over and sounded great. So thought Id change my spark plugs and now the engin wont start. it makes a clunk sound the first time I turn the key but nothing else happens. Next time i turn the key no sound at all. after a few mins I try to turn it over again and it clunks once and then nothing. Though it might be an issue with the new spark plugs so put the old ones back in and get the same issue.

Any thoughts?

I don't think so, had it on chage the other day over night and it started fine a hour before when i did the oil change. Will stick on charge again to eliminate it form the problem. The hunt continues!
