An Idiot on Board

Hi All

1985 1.9 Autosleeper.

Gone and put diesel in the bus (again, that'll be twice now) Emptied tank as much as possible and put in petrol. Plugs out and cleaned. Engine turns over nicely but wont start. Checked fuel pump and fuel getting as far as carb input. Have taken cover off carb and can't see any fuel entering the carb itself. When I pour some fuel directly into carb, engine wants to start but I canth maintain pouring fuel into carb directly.

Ideas and solutions greatly appreciated.

Thanks
JPEE

Got her going. Smoking like hell. Will drain another few litres of liquid gold out of her top up with more liquid gold, change filters clean spark plugs, should be ok. Well oiled head. Why did they stop the diesel pumps having the audible warning.

When I see vehicles with MAHOOSIVE signs next to the fuel cap saying "PETROL" and "DIESEL" I used to think "Who would be so stupid as to put the wrong fuel in?" This place has opened my eyes

If you have a panel conversion with no rear window on the drivers side you could get Kev's sticker idea in MASSIVE letters on that panel :rofl
