Newby in need of help!! Has anyone any tips on fitting the oil seal in the clutch bellhousing on a 1.9 wbx petrol van. I see the proper way seems to be to force it in using workshop tool 244b. Is it therefore not a diy job as the tool seems to cost 60 quid for one bash?
Thanks
Sorry should have said ---

You can gently tap it in if you're careful. Even, light taps all around the circumference. Either that or huge washer and a short length of tube.

easiest imho to remove the bellhousing and check the oil thrower and support to protect the oil thrower and 27mm socket is perfect for the job, lube the seal hole well and deburr any extraction marks first, new gasket just over £3 from VW

Many thanks to you both, I will post again if I have any problems. Sounds if I should have a go though (or maybe take it round to my local garage at worst)
