Best way to remove engine oil when too much is put in?

I have put a little too much oil in my engine, and want to remove about a litre, would this be possible by putting a flexible hose down the dip stick tube, and sucking a litre out this way?
Thanks in advance

Wouldn't it be easier just to drop it out of the sump plug?

I could do, but that would mean I need to drive 20km away to our summer house to carry out that kind of work, as not allowed to do that in the street due to accidental spillage. Crazy I know, but its the law here, you cannot even clean your car on the street.

Ah I see.
In that case then yes I can't see why it wouldnt be possible to suck it out via the dipstick tube if you can fandangle a pipe and some sort of suction.

You need to get yourself an Oil pump that sucks it out of the dipstick tube like the one in the link.

Cheers guys, good idea there Titus, but all done now, and managed it withough sucking any oil into my mouth
Oil level now is a just a few mm above max mark on dipstick, so am very happy with that. Only needed to remove a pint

Suck some more
Smart never put a sump plug in so I have to use a pela pump to change the oil. Would love to know what sludge is in the bottom after 80,000 miles.
