Hi

Please can any one advise on this problem.

Went to change plugs today , the two under the air filter to start the ht lead metal cover hard to get off .
One came out quit rust but the other under air filter box rusted right through snapping off and leaving bottom half in head.

Any ideas on hoe to remove this ?

nasty, head off I reckon, too tight for moll grips, awkward to get any decent heat on there. start with loads of penetrating oil, maybe tap the ceramic off with a small cold chisel to expose a bit of pin to get a stud removal tool on it? or a pair of small chisels and lever it out from two sides at once, looks as there is no screw thread remaining this is just the tip of the plug?

You could try hammering a suitably sized torx socket onto what is left. Use an extension bar and breaker bar to keep it as square on as poss. Have a buddy tapping the top of the bar as you gently turn it to release the threads.

Best of luck

Seem like the previous owner mat have put in the wrong plugs
the ones they fitted are:

NGK BP6ET that have 3 prongs to centre electrode

Nothing wrong with the NGK's they are the equivelent to the Bosch W7DTC which is also a triple electrode plug.
These are effectively 'long life' equivelents to the standard single electrode W7DC

No, that's the bit that snapped off leaving the rest of it in there (I think)

Well the sleeve with the thread is still in there :(

The gap around the plug and head is solid with rust :(
