Did you buy it as a kit or did you rip it out of a Vauxhall Corsa?

Power Steering is brilliant. I used to deliberately reverse and steer with two fingers in plain site of Chiz (who only had handdraulic power at the time). He eventually got a pucka VW T3 one fitted and took all my fun away.
Stupid question but where is the fluid for the power steering? I mean where do you fill it from?

There is no fluid with these systems. And yes he's got controllers do adjust the amount of assisstance. All the electrics are kept in side the vehicle so ideal for a Syncro. It does not rely on a speed sensor so with our large Tyres you can still have the assistance you want when ever you want. Drove back last night with adjustmant on max, min and all 9settings in between. Pretty much a bolt in bolt out system.
Need to go out and drive some more.

Top effort. Reckon its a must. The boss might even try and drive the van then!
On second thoughts perhaps thats not a good idea.

I want one!! I had a discussion on this forum last year and was basically told that it "wasn't cricket" and would lower the resale value!!!!!??????
Any thoughts? Baz

If it lowers the resale value then put a STD one back on and sell it on. I'm sure there'll be plenty of takers. once you drive with one you'll see what I mean. There's discussion about loosing the collapsibility of the column but roger has addressed this so there is still a colapsable unit within the column. Just did 1000 mile trip and it was perfect and for a Syncro I think it's a lot safer than having the extra pipe work and hydraulics underneath I also tested it on max assistance at motorway speeds and I could adjust the vans line with one finger. With the torque sensor it also has less of a tendency to vear left or right.
Right auto box next.

Having 3hours stuck in traffic outside Paris an auto box would have been bliss. Average speed 2 mph in g gear for miles.
