engine judder

Im thinking of changing the gearbox mount as i have a bit of judder setting off thats if it is the mount. Also when i take my foot off the gas and back on a gain it starts to kangaroo as if the engine is bouncing. Origanally i thaught it was the engine mounts but found it still did this after getting new mounts from brickwerks, also thought it may be the clutch. I dont have any problems engaging gear no crunching engine racing clutch pedal as it should etc. I do have oil on the bottom of the gearbox but its always been like this, iv`e also heard of oil contamination can cause the judder but im not sure what i would do with that, new seals perhaps. Is that a big job? Just dont know what to do really.
Steve.

We had really severe judder from ours when pulling away, particularly bad in reverse. I thought it was in danger of damaging the mounts/engine/my fillings. I could see evidence of oil leakage from the gearbox near to the engine and assumed the seal behind the flywheel was kaput and contaminating the clutch. On removing the gearbox I found the oil leak was quite minor, but changed the seal and clutch anyway (don't forget the second oil O ring on the flywheel).
The result is a much smoother pull away in both directions.
Get help with removing the gearbox as I found it quite hard going, especially when finding sheared driveshaft bolts, not having the 12 point spline tool to hand to remove the clutch and working on the floor with a jacked up van. Worth it in the long run.
