After finding that most of my bushes neeeded replacing at the front of my Syncro, I decided to make a start myself!!! How hard could it be?? Well I did the steering rack, the anti roll bar (which were fun!!) without much fuss.
So I thought...radius rods......after much help on the forum I ended up taking the suspension apart to take the radius rod out complete. Job done!!! Didnt think I could do it?? While the lower control arm was off I burnt/ drilled out the bottom bushes and replaced them as well!!
Bring it on I thought...
So then .... I split the front hubs away from the bearings and exchanged the studs for longer ones to take my new alloys and A/T tyres.
All back together now...going to do the rear hubs tomorrow.....
Thanks to those who gave much needed advise.
Its just made me think that its amazing what you can actually acheive on these vans yourself.
Whats the next job?? :?

Congrats on that a nice feeling when you get it all done :ok

Number one job I would reccomend is to give the van a bloody good clean underneath let it dry and waxoyl the whole lot of it for the winter, also change coolant add anti frieze and a general service for the winter don't forget to fill your accelerator cable with WD40 to stop it freezing

Yep removing the tank and changing tank straps is one of the worst heard your not a real syncro owner until you get that done. Rear hubs are grand take it you are doing the bearings aswell ? Rear trailing arms are also a bitch to remove as you usually have to cut the bolts to get them off. But the best way to eat an elephant is piece by piece :)

Tiz a great feeling to succeed!! I waxoil underneath every year...brilliant stuff. Got to say...van looks great now.....even when a man I know has pestered me about selling the van to him as he's not satisfied with his £40,000 T5!!!! He says its just not got the stance of a T25 Syncro.....I had to agree!!
